A very shallow beat em up arena style game. This game is an epic fail. Ya, you can swing the Wii remote accurately and try and rack up combos, or you can swing the Wii remote wildly and beat any opponent in the game. STCWLD requires 0 skill, a 10 year old could beat a sponsored gamer if he can shake the Wii remote faster. Play it? No, Tekken, Virtue fighter, and mortal kombat are examples of much better brawler’s. I give this a 35/100.

Trama Center: New blood/Wii
A very unique doctor sim. This game pits you in a manga style world where your the best doctor in the world. You have a mystical power called the healing tough that lets you slow down time and save people from the brink of death. Sound cheesy? But actually most of TCNB is very serious, adrenaline pumping, life and death situations. The game makes you care about your patients, and with a clock and heartbeat monitor always working against you it get’s pretty nerve racking. Play it? Yes, this game sucks you in despite the very hard difficulty. I give this a 65/100. Not suggested for kids under 13, due to intense themes and hard difficulty, the positive is that you learn quite a bit about medical procedure.
Beat it: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Besides Shadow of the colossus, COD:WAW, and Left 4 Dead this has been my favorite campaign. Very fufilling and Challenge mode has you try and beat your times of the best parts of BAA. Worth Beating? Yes, a crime if you own a 360 not to beat this adventure.
Batman: Arkham Asylum/X360
This is not only the best Batman game ever made, it’s the Best platformer on the Xbox 360. This game has a very good plot, despite a few dumb parts. BAA is about batman bringing in the joker. But as soon as The joker is out of Batman’s hands, he breaks free and takes over AA. The boss battles are a bit dull, considering the usually fast paced game. The best parts of BAA are when you are pitted against a dozen or so heavily armed henchmen in a room full of gargoyles. You simply swing from one gargoyle to the next taking foe down by dropping on top of them and knocking them unconscious. This is a stealth game, but there is quite a bit of beat em’ up action too. The biggest surprises are when you face scarecrow, he will pop out at you, sory you in the face with fear gas, and then you must fight him in his world. Trust me this game has pleny of thrills and chills to even give someone like me nightmares. Oh, and the riddles! Throughout AA there are 240 riddles for you to solve. Some are as easy as finding a trophy, some you must find a staue/painting/object, but some are as hard as finding how a ? lines up in a huge area. Play it? Yes, a epic game no gamer should miss completing. I give this a 90/100. Not suggested for kids under 14, much more intense then a lot of M games.
Halo 3: ODST/X360
This game probably has some of the best multi-player out there, even if the campaign is a bit worse then 3. The biggest fault of ODST is the health system, In campaign you actually have health, so if you take damage you have to go around and try and find some health packets. It gets tiresome and you die a lot easier then in 3. The only other problem I have is with Firefight. It seem like they missed the mark a bit with FF ya, its fun, but would I choose it over Horde or Nazi Zombies, no. Play it? Yes, Despite a few flaws its a good game with good multiplayer and a good storyline.
Revisions of Video game reviews
I have decided that some of the games I have reviewed have either lost or gained appeal in my mind. I shall now rescore some of my VG posts.
Banjo Kazzoie: Nuts and Bolts/70/100 -
Fracture/70/100 +
Skate/85/100 +
Star wars: Force Unleashed/65/100 +
Hope that clears that all up.
Too Human/X360
This game got horrible reviews, but despite some flaws, it is very fun. You play as Balder, a Cybernetic human who is the protector of mankind. this game is about in the future, machines rule the world, the only humans that are left alive are protected by Balder and his family of cyber humans. The story is pretty dull and doesn’t make you care about what happens. The Melee combat is fun and cool, yet the ranged combat feels less powerful and unengaging. The RPG of Too human is very interesting, being able to custamize almost anything, and gaining new weapons consantly, make it ver in depth and truly makes you attached to Balder. The biggest problem with TH is when you die, you must watch a 20 second long, unskipable, cutscene where you are picked up and brought into a bright lightm the other problem is the damage system, when attacking eneimeis, exspecially tougher ones, it dosnt seem like there taking any damage, even though your slamming them with your weapon. Play it? Yes, and worth a buy if you can get it for under 20$ I give this a 65/100.
The Simpsons Game/X360
This game does make you laugh really hard, but only in till you remember that the game your playing isn’t all the that fun. This game is about Bart finding a game guide to The Simpson’s Game, and also discovering that they all the Simpson’s have super powers, and every level you help some person that is in need. Most levels require you to find hidden switches using each characterssuper powers. The Combat is very tedious and puzzles can either be laughably easy or cry ablehard. Play it? too bad most funny games are not fun. I give this a 55/100.
This is a very different kind of shooter. You don’t just shoot an enemy in till he dies, you must find his vital part. That goes for all enemies, not just bosses. You play as a teen, bent on revenge on the Akrid, a kind of buggish species that kill to survive. You live on a freezing planet that host the Akrid. The game plays good and it is very fun. The thing that makes this gam unique is that you have a body suit that keeps you warm. You are consantly losing heat, and the only way to get it back is to collect the blood from the Akrid. It gets a little tedious, constabtly collecting Energy from the Akrid, but it makes this game stand out. Play it? There are better third person shooters, such as Fracture, but this is a decent game with sweet boss battles. I give this a 50/100.
I Was wondering what to play today, when it dawned on me I have only played multiplayer on LOTRC. I tried the campaign and found it fun, despite being incredibly short ( 2 hour play through) and Warriors still being impossible to beat. You play major battles from the film at places such as Gondor and Mordor. I still must say that there is quite a bit of button mashing involved with this game, except with the Archer, he actually requires some skillz! Worth Beating? At 2 hours, why not? As a added bonus, you get 25 gamer score at the end of every level, which is about every 15 to 10 minutes.
